This is not a
complete list, these are what I judge to be the best. You may also want
to check with the Ready for
Broadband area.
Garageband.com
One of the mest music sites
I have seen. Finally, a music site that does not depend on a few short
streams of same old artists.
Internet
Broadcasting System
The first and largest network of local Web Channels -- Web sites that
combine the "must-know" local content of the dominant TV affiliate in
a top market with a broad range of Web services, backed by extensive
promotion from the station.
Launch
I remember getting a couple Launch CDs. Now online they are starting
to do the job right. Not really Mac friendly.
MP3.com
You can not really consider music on the net without looking at MP3.com.
A great library and good experimentation. Very compatible to non-IBMs.
MUBU
I am not sure what this cite is doing. It seems they judge your musical
tastes and try to sell you new albums based on them. I was hoping for
some custom streaming but that does not seem to be happening.
Real
The old man of streaming with the widest possible content. Too many
complex updates to suit my tastes.
Spinner
A great collection of radio
stations and a fairly smooth interface for music.
Wired
Planet
Aggregates streaming from other sources. No real business model here.
Just good music and video.
